federal character

I have picked my best suit,

black, shiny — I have pored

over my CV, edited the hell

out of it, shunned the advice

of my LinkedIn friend to pick

only one State of Origin —

I picked four states from four

regions, and in a parenthesis,

I add that I have a genealogy

that should be a model for

Social Studies textbooks — checkmate!

When the interviewer asks me

to tender my qualifications,

I pluck his accent and wear in my mouth

It is a good thing to have a tongue

that can dance to any language

We hit it off real good — He places

my CV in a special file — Says

not to worry — Says I am his person
