Ọláolúwa Òní

Olaoluwa is a writer, lawyer, and PhD researcher currently working at the intersections of law and literature. She is a published author. Her debut novel, The yNBA, is a legal drama that explores the reality of law practice as a young lawyer in Nigeria. It was a finalist for the Spring NG Women’s prize for writing and is available for sale in bookstores across Nigeria. Her first stage play, inspired by the events surrounding the #SoroSoke movement and the #ENDSARS protests in Nigeria was also a finalist for the Beeta Arts prize for playwriting. A scene from this play was selected for dramatization by the prize organizers. Her drama manuscript, For This One We Begged, was a 2023 winner (Africa Region) in the BBC Radio Drama competition.
