Akinyi Margareta Ocholla

Akinyi is a child of two worlds (Kenya and Sweden). She grew up in Nairobi, Kenya where she worked as an activist, meteorologist, civil servant, and painter, and currently resides in Stockholm, where she works as an IT consultant. Her inspiration stems from colourful, resilient Kenyan characters. She spends her free time reading, writing, painting, and hiking. Some of her creative works have been published in The Kalahari Review, Agenda: Empowering women for gender equity and The African Anthropologist.
