I am a journalist and a writer currently residing in Ghana where I work as a Senior Writer for Ghana Business & Finance magazine.
My career in active, or professional journalism and writing, span over a period of 20 years and more. I started back in Nigeria, where I was born and brought up. Since December 2003, I have been resident in Ghana for more than eight years, and have just resigned as the Ghana Bureau Chief of BusinessDay newspaper to join the Ghana Business & Finance magazine.
As a writer, I have authored two books – Born Catholic, Born Charismatic (a Christian literature) and Beneath The Man (a collection of two fiction stories). At present, I have completed a collection of poems (50 of some of my poems written over a period spanning more than thirty years) awaiting publishing. When published, it would be my first published poetry collection.

I am from Anambra State, and was born on the 14th of January in Leningrad, Russia, at some point in time; hence the name Vera, which means 'faithful', so if any man is considering having me for a wife (which all men should, lol), he should know right now that I will be faithful, if he is. I used to speak Russian fluently, but have since forgotten it due to 'lack of speaking'. I currently reside in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and I am in school with a major of Nursing (which is trying to drain the life out of me). I enjoy doing a lot of things like reading, writing, sleeping and spending other people's money, of course. I have aspirations to change the world for the better like any other person; one of my major aspirations is to one day wear a thin platinum band with an emerald rock on my left ring finger (*hint hint*). Imagine a world where my bright, sparkling diamond is blinding everyone's eyes. Now that's a Verastic world! (and a better world, might I add). If for any reason, any man is not sure what to expect from me, let him please refer to my 'Verastic Manual', and my 'Verastic Code Of Conduct' for answers to all FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). In case you're wondering if there is any special someone in my life, well, there is, and his name is Compaq; it's amazing the things he does for me; he's not like any other man I have ever known. I do not know what else I am supposed to tell you, but if you need to know more, please start by sending me some flowers. Blue roses preferably.

He says of his works, "I am looking beyond the surface of everything?to commune with the spirits I have to look beyond the surface. And if we all do we will be surprised at what we see." Oddly enough, Victor who obtained his degree in English and Literature works as a UNIX Systems administrator, the interesting mixture of art and technology that the need to gestate the creative spirit until it can support itself fosters in many artists. Victor who currently resides in Maryland says the late poet and literary critic, Dr. Frank Uche Mowah, was his mentor. He is the author of Sordid Rituals, a collection of poems.
