ANA/Anyiam-Osigwe literary journalist of the year prize: Call for entries.

The Association of Nigerian Authors(ANA) hereby invites interested print media literary journalists to submit entries for the year 2007 ANA/Anyiam-Osigwe Literary Journalist of the Year Prize.The entries are to conform to the following guidelines:

1Ten(10) different articles,features,essays,interviews,book reviews etc culled from a published literary or arts pages of any Nigerian newspaper or magazine bearing the byline of the entrant,selected from November 2006 to date, are required as one valid entry.

2 The selected pieces must be spread across the period under view and care must be taken to ensure that the photocopies are readable with each page bearing the newspaper's or magazine's name and date when the said pieces were published.
3 Each of the 10 copies should be in four (4) copies and sent with a covering letter to The General Secretary,Association of Nigerian Authors,Suite 67,National Theatre Complex,Iganmu Lagos, not later than 31st August 2007.

4 The entries would be assessed by the standing panel of judges, made up of distinguished veteran media,culture and literary personalities, for style,flair for balanced reportage,the breadth of literary activities reported in the period under review,depth and the impact on the development of creative writing and the reading culture in the country.

The literary journalist of the year prize,in its fourth year run,goes with the sum of 50,000 Naira.A shortlist would be out in October 2007 leading to the award ceremony during the 26th International Annual convention of the Association scheduled for the 1-4 November 2007 in Owerri,Imo State.
