For an international multi-cultural anthology of literary criticism, critical essays, poetry, fiction, visual art, literary non-fiction and creative writings on the violent conflict in the Niger Delta. The anthology is to be edited by the award winning writer Ifeanyi Ajaegbo

The Niger Delta region of Nigeria has without doubt generated a lot of negative publicity in the last few years. The negative publicity has been the result of violent conflict going on at different levels and between different groupings in the region. The editor is seeking creative writing in the genres of poetry, fiction, literary non-fiction, memoir writing and journaling that explore the different dimensions of the effect of violent conflict on the human condition in the Niger Delta. The editor is particularly interested in creative output that provides social commentary that will lead to an understanding and possible reduction of the violence in the Niger Delta.

The editor invites submissions that address (but not limited to) the following issues

Violent conflict among ethnic groups
Violent conflict between the state and ethnic groups
Violent conflict among other groups in the Niger Delta i.e. cult groups etc.
Children and violent conflicts i.e. as perpetrators and as victims
Women and violent conflicts i.e. as perpetrators and as victims
Economic resources and violent conflicts
Nationhood and violent conflicts in the Niger Delta.
