ANA LAGOS ELECTIONS
As the 2007 annual Convention of the Lagos State Branch of Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA Lagos) draws near, all bona fide members the State Branch are hereby enjoined to start making preparations for the local elections which constitute a major component of this year’s Convention, scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 13, 2007. It is hoped that the elections will usher in a new Executive Council (made up of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor) that will steer the ship of the State Branch for two years (till October, 2009).
For the avoidance of doubt, I would like to hereby declare that I have no interest in standing for election at the said Convention; for one thing, by October, I would have already served the Association (as Chairman) for two consecutive terms (four years).
Further information on the electoral process will be released in due course.
