I know actors who do their best work in front of a live audience only when intoxicated. They must drink before they get on stage. Often, they know when to stop, to keep the lines and movements in the forefront of their recall. Whenever they overdo it, wow, it is really a disaster. They either doze off, stumble on stage, muddle lines and actions, thereby throwing everybody off...
I also know writers who love the bottle. :D I have never asked them if they write while flying on booze though.
What say you? Do you know writers who create better under the influence of alcohol?
