Obviously, I last read kiddies' books when I was a kid...until recently. My daughter is going to be seven and her brother turn four last month. Since they are already voracious readers (yep, even the 4yr old is reading like a 3rd grader, ish you not), we read a minimum of 4 books at bedtime (and that's not counting the ones they read on their own during the time). Yeah, I'm proud of 'em. Sue me! :D
Of course, the problem with reading so much is the attendant development of the imagination to the point where nightmares haunt your sleep. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about...
Having read hundreds of children's books at this late stage in my life, I find myself being pulled by the idea of doing a book or two for my kids and other children out there. Most of them are crappily written of course, but the occasional gems abound. Maybe I will...I know my kids will read it! :D
