This is to invite you to a Special Reading of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Abuja Chapter in honour of two of its prominent members, Diego Okenyedo and Barrister Ahmed Maiwada (the Association's Legal Adviser).
The reading will be from works by the two outstanding poets whose collection of poetry, From A Poet to It's Creator and Fossils were shortlisted for the 2009 edition of the NLNG Prize for Literature.
The Special Event will hold as follows:
Date: Thursday, 3rd September, 2009
Venue: Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre (Behind Sheraton Hotels and Towers), Abuja.
Time: 4: 00pm.
Guest Lecturer: Mallam Denja Abdullahi, General Secretary, Assocaition of NIgerian Authors (ANA)
Special Guests: Hajiya Bilkisu Abdulmalik Bashir, Executive Secretary, Federal Judicial Service Commission, Abuja and Her Excellencey, Ambassador Judith Attah (Mrs Okigbo)
Hon. Dr. Wale Okediran, Alhaji Abubakar Gimba, Dr. Jerry Agada, Professor Umelo Ojinma, I. C. Madubuike, Ken Ike, Hycent Obunseh (publisher of the two shortlisted books) and a host of other literary big names in Abuja are expected to grace the special ocassion.
You are expected to come with a guest. Dont be left out. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
