Arojah Concepts, an Abuja based organisation that specialises in all baskets of offerings of media products, academic/literary services and in partnership with Abuja Literary Society, Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA), and Guild of Artistes and Poets (GAP) are inviting the general public to contribute to a proposed publication titled, Abuja in the Eye of the Poets.
The Objectives of the proposed poetry anthology are among other things to awaken the environmental, socio-cultural, and civic consciousness of Nigerians and the world to the experience of living in one of the most important cities in Nigeria, Africa and the world.
The publication which is expected out before the end of September 2009 will be edited by an assemblage of editors among whom are Associate Editors – Ismaila Bala Garba and Miss Ifueko Ogbomo and a host of others.
Guidelines for Entries:
· Any poem centred on any aspect of life in Abuja.
· Entry should not be more than 2 quarter pages (the shorter the better)
· Open to Nigerians and non-Nigerians in Nigeria or any other part of the world
· The best 120 poems will be published in the anthology
· The best 12 poems will be performed and produced into an electronic copy that will go with the book.
· Each contributor will be entitled to a copy of the printed and electronic copy.
