If it isn't already too late (considering the fact that technology has turned the corner in its arrest of the public imagination), what can we do now to evolve a bigger and better reading culture in African countries?
Ideas?
1) Turn them into movies and TV shows
2) Create derivatives like audio books
3) Create abridged versions to woo and nurture younger readers
4) Build more libraries and actually stock (and manage them) properly
5) Train teachers to help make book reading more attractive to younger readers (Non-governmental agencies and writers' associations can pitch in here).
