2008 FORUM: GHANA The inaugural 2008 PALF Forum will be held in Accra, Ghana the 1st week and the Ashanti city of Kumasi the 2nd with excursions to the slave castles of Elmina.
. First Week July 3rd – July 11th
Opening Address, Concerts and Parties, Group Dinners, Workshops in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and performance poetry, Lectures on Craft, Literary Professionalism and Literary Ghana, Cultural Tours and Excursion.
Second Week July 12th – July 18th
Transport to a location ideal for a “retreat” where all can rest and write and the like. Also single-session workshops in new areas--prose poetry, flash fiction—and craft issues (voice, character, etc.) More concerts, parties and group meals.
The conference will also include the participation of agents, editors, publishers and industry professionals.

Participants choose one Primary Workshop. The workshops will follow a basic workshop format: a packet of participant works made available to workshop members before the workshop will be discussed by members in workshops led by facilitator.
