For organising a five-city celebration of the 50th anniversary of ‘Things Fall Apart', the author of the novel, Professor Chinua Achebe, has thanked the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).

The association rolled out the drums in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Awka and Nsukka last April to celebrate the most popular novel of one of its founding fathers.

Achebe, who returned to Nigeria on Monday morning thanked ANA during a discussion with Dr. Wale Okediran, president of the writers in his hotel room at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The father of African novel said he was thrilled that ANA was able to take the celebration to his family home and primary school in Ogidi, Anambra State.
